Terms of Purchase

By placing an order with Lightsin UK, you agree to the following terms. These policies are set to ensure clear understanding of our refund and return procedures. These policies are applicable to customers within the United Kingdom.

A. 30-Day Return & Refund Policy

We offer a 30-day return policy. This means you have 30 days after receiving your order to request a return or refund. To qualify for a return or refund, your item must be in the same condition you received it, unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. Please provide the receipt or proof of purchase to our after-sale team via email when you sumit the return request.

To be eligible for a return or refund:

  1. Your item must be unused and in the same condition unless faulty/broken;
  2. The item must be in resellable condition, with no scratches or defects;
  3. The item must not have been installed;
  4. The item must be returned in the original manufacturer's box and packaging;
  5. You have received the wrong item;
  6. Your item arrived damaged or broken;
  7. Your item was lost in transit.

B. Warranty Information

Our products come with a 1-year warranty. During this period, we will provide repair or replacement services for any quality issues caused by material or workmanship defects. The warranty period starts from the day you receive the product.

Warranty Coverage:

The warranty covers material and workmanship issues, including structural damage to the fixture, wiring faults, or performance problems under normal use. Some products do not include bulbs under the warranty.

Exclusions from Warranty:

  • Human-caused damage: Damage resulting from drops, impacts, or improper handling.
  • Improper use: Usage beyond the product's intended purpose or technical specifications.
  • Normal wear and tear: Wear resulting from long-term use, such as the depletion of the light source.
  • External factors: Damage caused by external factors like water exposure, fire, lightning, or other acts of nature.

C. Return Process

To initiate a return or refund, please first contact us at service@lightsin.co.uk. We will then review your request and offer you some  potential solutions or the result of your request. If your return is approved, we'll send you a return shipping label and instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without prior return request will not be accepted.

D. Faulty or Incorrect Items

Inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged, or incorrect. We will evaluate the issue and rectify it as quickly as possible. To return your product, please contact us via email. The delivery time for exchanged products may vary depending on your location.

E. Exchanges

We only exchange products that are defective, incorrect, or received in the wrong size. If you need to exchange an item, please contact us at service@lightsin.co.uk.

F. Return Shipping Fees

If the product is damaged, incorrect, or defective, we will cover the return shipping cost, provided that proof of the issue, such as photos or videos, is emailed to our customer service team.

G. Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your return, we'll notify you about the status of your refund. If approved, your refund will be processed within 5-7 business days, and a credit will automatically be applied to your original payment method. Please note that it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process the refund.

H. Pre-Order Refund Policy

If you choose to purchase a product under our pre-order model, the following terms apply:

  • Full Refund Within 48 Hours: If you request a refund within 48 hours of placing the pre-order, you are entitled to a full refund of the amount paid.
  • Partial Refund After 48 Hours: If you request a refund after the initial 48-hour period, a deduction of 20% of the product price will apply as a restocking and processing fee.
